The Offer
- From February 15th through April 15th, you can get a $5 Uber code each day when you buy two bottles of 20 oz. Dr. Pepper and send in a picture of the UPC symbols.
- Starting on February 15th, text DRPEPPER to 64827. Send a picture of both UPCs when prompted.
I can’t find a direct link for this offer yet, but it’s apparently showing already on some Dr. Pepper bottles.
The Fine Print
- Limit of one (1) reward per day, per person, per phone number.
- A participant is able to receive up to a total of five (5) rewards throughout the reward period.
- While supplies last.
Our Verdict
Buy ten bottles of 20 oz. Dr. Pepper and get $25 in Uber credit by submitting two UPC’s each day; you can probably buy two 6-packs for less than $10. Should also be possible to do this from more than one phone number, e.g. from a spouse or friend, to get more credits. Diet Dr. Pepper will likely work too, we’ll have to wait for confirmation on that.

Ripoff. I had a $5 credit and used it to get to work which normally cost $7. Then uber raised it to $12 then took off the $5 credit. SCAM.
I feel like this might be true… I took a trip to an appointment, it showed $18 struck-through with $13 the promo estimated amount. On the trip home, I didn’t have a promo in my account. The return trip was $13. Hum.

Sorry if I wasn’t clear. The two rides were the same distance/time (roughly). The first showed the before price of $18 and the after promo of $13. The return ride had no promo and was $13. Seems a bit convenient that my pre-promo ride supposedly would have bern $5 more than my no-promo ride.
Yep scam. And to think I have another one of these credits on my account. I’m going to beat them at their own game for the next one. We’ll have 2 phones with us. One with a credit one without the credit. Will see what they charge then.

Saga continues…Used uber and of course the $5 credit miraculously disappeared. But I had a screen shot of it. So after a couple emails with asking them where it went to then having to send the copy of it, they finally applied it. Principal.

I took a picture of two big bottles but it kept saying the purchase couldn’t be verified. Any tips on how to take pictures?
I actually bought 2 bottles of the DR Pepper with the uber info on the bottle. I successfully took pictures and texted the info, got a code yesterday and today. When I try to add them to my uber account I get “Gift card code is invalid” . wth!
You need to add it in the promo code section of the app not gift card.
