Bay area stores seem to have trained their cashiers to manually give a $5 GameStop GC for free for purchase of $15 Uber GC despite promo not coming up on computer. This is actually a better deal than the original deal because you can get a $15 Uber GC for $10 (by cashing out the $5 Gamestop GC required by law in CA) instead of a $20 Uber GC for $15.
Brought three on July 1 with promo codes, two today without codes. casher gave me $10 cash back.
According to a GS store clerk, Uber ran out of codes by July 2nd, even though the GS store has a sign that says the promo runs until July 10th. Supposedly Uber tried issuing new codes that didn’t work.
Deal is dead. Store manager called and was told the promo is not in the system.
Can anybody confirm?
I tried to buy a Uber gift card this afternoon at a Gamestop. I got a receipt without a promotion code. The cashier called their service center for 30 minutes and told me that they ran out of the code. So, I got a refund. I think the promotion is dead.

Tried it today. I loaded $15 on a variable load card. I couldn’t see any extra code on the receipt. I asked the clerk, she had no clue. She made a call, they told her ‘it is supposed to be a $5 GameStop gc’. I ended up getting a refund. Wth?
I didn’t get codes either. They told me uber may have issued all the codes, so this might be dead. Worked for me at same store this morning.
Silly question—but is anyone else having a difficult time scratching off the cover to get to the code on these?? The first 5 of about 30 I’ve tried are SO bad that I can’t continue without destroying the code underneath…its more like a tape than a scratch off…

My gamestop only sells multipacks of $15, e.g. a $45 multipack that contains 3 x $15 cards. Does that get me $5 or $15 back?

Hope you checked behind the 3x$15’s. When I asked the clerk to check he found the variable one’s hidden behind. The way they are coding on the receipt I doubt it be 3 codes for the pack.
How do you find variable load online? I only found $25,$50&$100 offered.
