$5 Uber rides [NYC Only]

The Offer

As a part of Earth day this week, Uber is running a promotion to promote their UberPool service, which groups people together in a Uber car all heading in the same direction. Uber users who use Uber pool in Manhattan will be able to get a ride for $5 to any destination from April 22-April 26, 2015.

Fine Print

  • Must use UberPool
    • You will select you pick up and dropoff location so Uber may match you with other passengers heading in the same direction.
  • Expires April 26, 2015 at Midnight
  • Valid for any ride that starts and ends in NYC/Manhattan (below 125th Street)
  • Will receive 20% discount with Capital One Quicksilver card

Side Note

  • Uber is also running a promotion to help riders from Williamsburg on the weekends with a “defunct” L-train get to Manhattan for only $5 as well via UberPool. More details here.
  • All Capital One cardholders (debit and credit card holders) are eligible for the 2 free rides worth $30 each when first signing up for Uber with promo code CAPITALONE as mentioned in detail here.
    • This is great if you just signed up for their Capital One 360 account promotion last month.

Verdict

Uber seems to be running a lot of promotions and incentive for more riders to join and use their new services. This is great for customers and hopefully Uber will continue to run these promotion and make more partnerships with other companies to make it even more appealing. I am personally a fan of Uber and all the great deals they are offering. If anyone has used UberPool or any of these discounts (including UberFresh for a free lunch) let us know about your experience in the comments.
