Let’s take the optimal scenario of being able to resell these cards for 84% of their value.
- Buy $800 in Sears and Kmart gift cards for $680
- Sell for $672
- Get $13.60 back from Splender
- Get $54.40 from bonus Bucks
- Get 3400 Ultimate Rewards points from INK, worth at least $34
- Profit: $94
Could be much more profit if you are able to buy even more than 4 discounted gift cards.
BP & Chevron

- Buy $600 worth of BP and Chevron gift cards for $552
- Sell for 89% of their value $534

seems like for me at least restriction of 4 is being enforced. as soon as I try to buy from anyone other that PPDG things go smooth like butter. but when I try to buy egc from PPDG all hell breaks loose.
Looks like I will be going to gyft to buy ebay gc first and then buy physical gcs.

i know many are complaining about the paypal verification process but i can confirm what others have said: since the process started i can buy as many discounted gift cards from PPDG as i want, no more limit 4.
also, i can redeem more than $5k in ebay gift cards in rolling 180 days now because it no longer shows as “gift certificates and cards redemption” but rather as “voucher” now. when i check my paypal in the last 180 days i redeemed $5,380 worth of ebay gift cards.
so yes, it’s a little frustrating we have to do all these verification but overall it is actually a good thing.
Has anyone else confirmed this? I would think this would be a huge find if correct.
Lantean, I am also seeing the limit of 4 is no longer around. I’m just a little not sure if this is part of the glitches that are going on for most people with PPDG in the past couple days, or if they lifted the limit. I’m more inclined to believe that they lifted the limit.
As for the second point, I’m not sure what you mean by that. Where are you seeing ‘gift certificates and cards redemption’ or ‘voucher’?
For me (as of March 9) in the payment details on Paypal, it’s showing the gift cards used as, “$92.06 eBay Gift Card #000000000”.

what i mean is when i download my ebay gift card redemption activity from paypal for the last 180 days (9/17/2015-3/17/2016) i see that up until 3/8/2016 every redeemed ebay gift card shows as “Gift Certificates and Cards Redemption” but from 3/13/2016 they show as “Voucher” and do not seem to count against my $5k rolling total. in fact, i thought my transaction paid with gift cards was going to be rejected but it went thru just fine yesterday. so the switch must have happened sometime between 3/8 and 3/13.
when i sum up all my “Gift Certificates and Cards Redemption” and my “Voucher” redemption for the last 180 days the total is $5,380. so either the limit was lifted or the new ebay gift card redemption after 3/13/2016 coded as “Voucher” do not count.
maybe try redeeming ebay gift cards to push over your $5k rolling limit and see if the transaction goes thru?
I can confirm that Lantean is correct. I should only be able to use $75 of Ebay gc. However, I just used more than that in a purchase and it went through fine. I have no idea if this is a glitch or if Ebay got rid of (or changed) the $5K limit.

Based on my history, it started on 3/9. Some of my 3/9 gc purchases come through as voucher and some as gift certificate.
And for those that are coded as “voucher”, mine doesn’t show the actual gift card number and instead, some random strings of numbers/serial (e.g. https://twitter.com/fptgiftbox/status/707724442638528512). So it’s impossible to know which gift card still has a remaining balance. So frustrating…
are you still limited to 4 per auction — ie can you buy 12 $200 Sears EGCs for $170 each?

i was talking about the 10 day 4 PPDG discounted cards purchase limit.
concur with the frustrations here others encountered with paypal interface. Finally we get deals we like, then paypal goes crazy on us. I spent an hour on the phone yesterday to get a transaction to go through…. then made another small one in the afternoon. All was well. But then this morning, NOPE, same error back again. when I called paypal, they tell me I may have to wait 48 hours after first security clearance before they can even try again — have no idea why….. (and of course, by then, current promos will be gone) Lesson here may be in the future (IF they let me in again) to buy early and in full intended volume (then call….. ) Or perhaps just wait until ebay dumps paypal.
Has anybody got the notice of cashback from Shopathome? I bought the $150 Bestbuy Electronic card and $276 Chevron Physical card. None of these transactions posted on my Shopathome yet….
