“Subscribe & Save”
Is there monkeying around that can be done with Subscribe & Save? I can clearly see that if I check that box on a given Amazon order, the price will be reduced – but I have always unchecked it. Have I been missing out on some churning-type shenanigans? Can that subscription be canceled after the order? If so, how long until you can/should cancel? Thanks!

I imagine you can cancel the subscription as soon as your first one ships. (mine shipped today) I will wait until I actually receive the first shipment, just in case I receive an empty 29lb bag. I am not going to keep playing with the ship date, because there is a good chance my next buy will not be on Amazon. I am not their best customer.
I always make the subscription for the longest possible renewal. There are very few things I can think of that I would want to automate. Toothbrush heads, water filters, and deodorant are probably the only things I have used a subscription offer before on my other accounts.
The particular dog food I picked had a coupon offer on it as well, which I did checkmark. I am not aware of any additional finagling.

Worked for me and I had just done a pet food subscription last month that I bailed out of.
I bought puppy pee pads. They’ll work just fine for my toddler.
