A video posted on Reddit from an ad shoot for the new upcoming Chase Sapphire Reserve rebranding reveals the card design. Image below. This continues the drips of rumors about the upcoming Sapphire Reserve changes.
Stop raising the AF. U can make the card out of paper, for all I care.
The appearance I want from my cards is the rewards statement at the end of the month.
I have a lower-end card where the entire top face came off, exposing the boring orange plastic inside. They send me incentives to use that card, and the ugly card works just fine.
I completely agree that rewards and benefits are far more important than the design of the card, but I also appreciate a pretty-looking card
The only time I look at my credit card is when I cannot use Google Pay, Samsung Pay, PayPal, or Eno. I had to look at my Chase Sapphire Reserve when I was street parking in the city and had to register my CSR with the parking app and again for a hospital parking lot. No, not every parking uses Google Pay.
The loss of the 3% on parking is a bummer, because for lots of street parking, at less than $5 per transaction, I’d use the Citi Rewards+. (also changing)
I will cancel mine too. I will blame it on the new design… Just to mess with their graphics team

Looks like the old card’s paint that got baked to a crisp and is about to fall off.
Wow that is objectively ugly. I’ll definitely be canceling my reserve soon as the renewal date comes up. Negative changes across the board plus it just looks cheap and tacky now. This relaunch is a disaster so far.

Wow so consumers are paying $250 for some snakeskin design on the metal card….no thanks.
The advertisement with the woman holding the oversized card made it look like a snakeskin purse. The card is mainly meant for women..?
