If I mAke up a name for the AU they have no way of adding it to someone’s credit report right?

if only the name is totally different from the real name, you will be fine….

DoC,

I know you mentioned in the Aviator Red post that you can upgrade to silver after 3 months. I keep calling back and they tell me it’s not available. Have you seen any DP’s recently of people being able to upgrade? Or is there a specific way to go about it?

Thanks

They just tell me it’s not available for me. And that if it is they will usually call/email me.

It’s probably because I literally just spend $1 on it and haven’t used it since.

I did get this 3k bonus for AU, which is why I remembered about the Silver upgrade.

Does Barclaycard assign a new credit card number to the authorized user?

Thanks! I should have looked for it.

The reason I was asking is because I’m not sure if it’s worth making someone who is at 4/24 an AU. I know it is possible to make Chase not consider the 5/24 rule if some of those cards are AU cards but AFAIK that’s not guaranteed.

Won’t do it then 🙂
Thanks!

They didnt ask for SSN, so it shouldn’t matter who that AU is.

  Mo

They figure out who the person is from the other information that you provide them.

Mo, all banks now have the auto system, even if you give similar name for example, I’m Sam Simon, but will be assigned as Sammy Sim as authorized user without social security, and they will check in database your address and find the match, so if you have the same address I believe as Sam Simon, they will attached this card to you, and to your credit records, as “Sammy Sim” will be on your records.

Was this targeted? For some reason, I never get emails for my aviator red and wonder if adding an authorized user will automatically trigger the reward or if I had to be targeted….
