Our Verdict
We’ve seen some nice first-time-host bonuses from Airbnb before, even cash bonuses, such as this (currently available) $200 Acorns bonus and this (no longer available) $400 Wealthsimple bonus. Anyway, this British offer is quite good if you value Avios, and it has a low $100 stay requirement.

My 30k avios finally rolled in a week ago. Basically I waited several weeks after the stay and saw that the purchase wasn’t tracking in the BA shopping portal. I filed a missing avios ticket. I had to send them the AirBNB reservation number and then it took them literally months to “research” the purchase, with me messaging them monthly for a status update. Finally, they posted. Totally worth it. Minimal work, but required a lot of patience and obviously no urgent need for the avios themselves.
FYI Everyone- Just received 45,000 Points…. 30,000 for the offer and 15,000 for it being my first purchase? It took a ton of work and emails/calls but its worth it.
Does anyone have a screenshot of this offer, from the BA site? They are telling me that it didn’t exist. Wayback machine doesn’t have it archived.

Just submitted a claim for missing avios. We’ll see how this plays out.
Been trying to get the points since mid-june. They have responded saying they are looking into it, but my last 3 emails have gone unreturned.
I submitted the claim early July but still waiting. Just got a follow up email telling me they’re still looking into it.
Not sure if they’re more likely to pay because the offer was so short-lived, or less likely to pay because they don’t expect much backlash.
They responded to me saying that I was not eligible since the offer minimum was 100 dollars. I responded with a screenshot of the offer and am still waiting a response
How much was your stay? I did exactly $100.
$105… Got another response saying they are sorry and the 30,000 avios will be deposited in my account within 35 days.
I got a response saying they added the transaction (and I can see the points pending) but that they will need 35 days to complete the investigation.
Is this dead? The link is broken, and searching Airbnb on the portal isn’t showing anything either.

what are 30,000 worth? if I don’t have a BA account already, is it worth it do this, as opposed to the normal bonus?
