Our Verdict

Keep in mind you still need to pay the taxes. Might be a useful deal for some readers, especially if you were planning on going to the game anyway.

That’s a lot of restrictions.

This is actually Marlins vs. Giants, which is an important detail as the home team is listed last (for most US sports, at least). We wouldn’t want people showing up at the next Giants game played in Miami expecting vouchers.

When I saw the post title I assumed Alaska was starting new routes to Miami and that was the reason for the promotion.

Came here to laugh at 40,000 fans attending a Marlins game this year. Good catch.

Baseball games are usually played in a 2-4 game series on consecutive days as well. Per the link, the vouchers are for the game on Saturday, 9/14.

Excluding Prudhoe Bay is kinda of funny, don’t want anyone to get a good deal on a work trip with a co-worker.

I got one of these last year and the big kicker is that you have to book by 9/17, 3 days after getting it. There was a guy outside the stadium buying them up for $5 each though. So at the very least there’s that

Is there a market for these on eBay.. what would they go for? Might get a free baseball game out of the deal.

Back when Virgin America used to run this promo, there were far fewer restrictions. You had a couple of weeks to book, and they could be used anywhere Virgin America flew. Codes on Craigslist and eBay went for $5-20. (I see it going for $35 on Craigslist and $50 on eBay right now, but the price will plummet. Only a small percentage of the 40,000 codes will be redeemed, so that leaves a huge number available.)

Alaska has imposed so many conditions that I’m not sure what kind of value it might have now. I’m fairly certain it wouldn’t cover the cost of a game ticket though. I’d approach it as buying a ticket to the game, with a potential flight discount thrown in.
