Still 8gb storage on the 4k stick in 2021 because they want you to get the cube, that’s just plain greedy

I have 3 sticks and never now they only have 8GB because I never have problem with storage. They are streaming devices.

The OS and Amazon bloatware eat up a good chunk of the 8GB. After installing additional apps (which have caches that can grow in size), not much may be left and performance can be negatively affected.

Before Covid I was constantly juggling what apps were installed on my firestick. We would have people over all the time and play Jackbox Party Pack. Expandable memory / more memory is the No. 1 thing I want from a new Firestick.

At least with the existing generation Fire stick, you can use an OTG cable to add devices. I did so in order to add an Infrared remote receiver.

Hands-free with Alexa

Two-way video calling with Alexa Communications

As far as I can tell the only difference is hands-free Alexa and 2-way video calling on the Omni whereas you only have Alexa via a button press on the 4-series

From aftvnews
“These new TVs come in 43″, 50″, 55″, 65″, and 75″ screen sizes, with the two largest sizes offered only in the Omni Series with hands-free Alexa. All models feature 4K Ultra HD resolution, with support for HDR 10 and HLG high dynamic range, but the two largest sizes also support Dolby Vision.”
