8GB RAM… in 2020… as the base standard. Umm. no.
8 IS the standard, and it’s more than enough for most people. No one needs more than 4-8 GB RAM unless they want a laptop for gaming or heavy graphics/video work. And if that’s the case, you wouldn’t be interested in a Macbook Air to begin with
I agree personally, but for most people this is plenty for what the average user does…email, office apps, web browsing and photos. The latest macOS runs fine on 4 GB of ram and was actually the first bump in many years. Mojave only requires 2 GB.
