Amazon: FreeTime Unlimited 3 Month Plan For $2.99 + Free Headphones

[Update 7/3/19: Offer is back. Stack with $8 cashback from Chase Offers.]

The Offer

Direct link to offer (our affiliate link here and below)

  • Amazon is offering a three month pre-paid plan for Amazon FreeTime Unlimited for $2.99. In addition you also get a pair of kids headphones for free (headphones can be viewed here)

The Fine Print

  • None as far as I can see

Our Verdict

Looks like this gives kids access to a number of age appropriate apps, books and videos. I don’t have kids so I have no idea how useful the service actually is. I’m sure the headphones aren’t great, but again probably good enough for a kid (hopefully they are durable). If anybody uses this service share your experiences in the comments below. At the end of the day it’s $3 and you get some headphones, might not be the worst thing to try.

Meh, not that great a deal. For the last two years I’ve purchased the kids tablet that comes with the free year of unlimited free time (as many accounts as you want).

With stacking the amex discount, sale price, discounted Amazon gift card and a portal that typically gives out 6%+ it’s cost maybe $10- $20 every year. This for a free tablet with the foam case and free time unlimited. Every year when the subscription is ready to renew I cancel and just turn on the new tablet and it automatically activates another subscription and the other tablets continue to work as if nothing changed. Definitely a great hack if you’re a parent.

My 4 year old has two profiles. One for fun and one for learning. Didn’t think it would be that great but a few years back after getting it for free it’s definitely become integrated into our lives, especially when on the road since you can download games and videos for offline use.

Definitely easy. Worst case if it posts and forget to cancel like I did last year just hop on chat and ask them to cancel. I wasn’t charged anything. You can immediately use the new (unused) tablet and once you turn it on and establish it to your account you’re good to go.

It seems easy once you’re paying month-to-month, but with this prepaid deal, there’s no online cancel option; it says:

“To turn off auto-renewal or cancel your FreeTime Unlimited subscription, please contact customer service online or call 1 (888) 280-4364.”
