[Dead] Amazon: Get a $50 Amazon Gift Card with $99 Dropbox Plus Subscription, Lock in Future Years [Today Only]

[Offer went away briefly, now it’s back.]

The Offer

Direct Link to offer (affiliate link, thanks for shopping through our links)

  • Amazon is offering a $50 Amazon gift card when you buy a one-year Dropbox Plus subscription.

The Fine Print

  • Ends at 5 am ET on November 21

Our Verdict

Existing Dropbox users can add the code to their account and it’ll automatically apply to extend their subscription after their current subscription expires. You can even apply multiple codes to extend it for multiple years.

Amazon has now limited the purchase to one per checkout, but apparently you can checkout multiple times if you want to buy more than one.

For someone buying this for a business, you may be able to write off the entire $99 and pocket the $50 gift card yourself; please contact your tax advisor for tax advice.

Price is showing as a bundled price of $149. How is that a bundle? Lol.

I currently have a Dropbox Plus subscription, and after I entered the license key from Amazon I received this message: “You cannot redeem a license key with your current subscription.” I also pay an extra $38/year for Extended Version History, and in the Dropbox help section it says “Extended Version History doesn’t work with a Dropbox license key subscription.” Doh! I suspect this is the issue.

I’m hoping Amazon will honor the Dropbox Plus license key and give me $99 off my $137/year total. If you have Extended Version History, beware!

Went crazy and bought 4 years worth lol. I’m currently on Google One 2TB plan but I prefer how dropbox syncs files more (the metadata seems to be more intact than Google for some reason).

Nice deal. We have been using Dropbox Plus for several years- it’s very smooth. We coordinate between two Macs, two Android phones, and a Windows laptop and everything just works. Especially like the automatic upload of cell phone camera photos to our Dropbox.

Thanks! I bought two. I was going to switch services because dropbox is on the pricier side but now I don’t have to worry about it for two more years.

Yep, it works now. Btw, Amazon breaks down the two components of the orders, so the invoice won’t show that you paid $99 for dropbox with a free gift card. Rather, it shows $49 for dropbox.

Showed up here with no troubles. I didn’t add to cart though, I just selected BUY NOW. Purchased five separate times and have successfully redeemed the DB codes. Gift Card will be mailed to you FYI.
