The Offer
- Purchase a $99 Prime membership on Amazon.com at a $32 discount for just $67. Today 9/25/15 only.
Increase the discount:
- Go through the Giving Assistant shopping portal and you’ll hopefully get 5% back, although it’s technically excluded in the terms. (-$3.35)
- Use your Discover card to pay and get 5% back (if you haven’t already maxed out Q3 quarterly category) and it will even be doubled at years end for some. (-$6.70)
Total cost in the best case scenario will end up to just under $56, if all works out. (See also Best Credit Cards For Amazon Purchases – Up to 5x Points/5% Cash Back for more options as to which credit card to use.)
The Fine Print
- New members only
Our Verdict
This won’t help most since it’s for new members only. If you were on the fence for Prime membership, today is definitely the day to do it. Remember, though that Amazon removed the Prime sharing option and it’s now limited to real household members for the most part, which make Prime a whole lot more expensive than when we could share the cost with a few people.
