Amazon: Save up to 40% on Kindle Unlimited Subscriptions

Update 7/21/22: Available again. (You can also try this deal to get 4 months for $4.99 total.)

The Offer

Direct Link to offer (post contains our affiliate link)

  • Amazon is offering discounts on their Kindle Unlimited subscription service of 20-40%, depending how long you subscribe.
    • 24 months for $143.80 (40% discount)
    • 12 months for $80.30 (33% discount)
    • 6 months for $47.86

With a Kindle Unlimited subscription you have access to over one million titles in the Kindle Store, including books, audiobooks, and magazines. You can keep up to ten titles to read on any Amazon device or Kindle reading app and there are no due dates.

The Fine Print

  • Limited time offer
  • Cost of $9.99/month will apply after the initial 6/12/24 months automatically, until you cancel.
  • For existing monthly, pre-paid or free trial Kindle Unlimited subscribers who redeem this offer, automatic renewals will be temporarily suspended for the duration of the 12-month period.
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time by visiting www.amazon.com/kucentral and adjusting your settings

Our Verdict

Normally the discount gets bigger the longer you subscribe, but with this offer the best discount is actually the six month membership. Just remember to cancel if you don’t want to pay $9.99 per month

Personally I’m in the “go to b-ok.cc”, get what you want, then open with Calibre to email to your kindle

Would this trigger Amex +5x offer?

So the offer has you gift memberships, which you can redeem into your own account. Can you gift yourself more than one membership and will they then stack? I already have a membership, which I cancelled., but it ends Oct. 7th. I just gifted myself a 6-month subscription (using the BofA offer for Kindle Unlimited + double cash back for $6 back), and it’s showing that the gift subscription will start on Oct 7th when my current subscription ends, and it will end on April 7th, 2021 (6 months).

If I purchase another 6 month subscription and gift it myself, I wonder if it would start on April 7th, 2021, and go through Oct 7th, 2021?

Thoughts?

This is good for people who know that they will make use of it. However, while you can cancel the membership, unfortunately the Terms of Use state that you won’t receive a refund of the fees that you already paid. I’m hesitant to enroll in a membership like this if I don’t know that I will get use out of it for the entire term that I sign up for.

Interesting…I received a similar offer but it scaled up the discount more like what you would expect:
6 months for $47.86 (20% discount)
12 months for $80.30 (33% discount; same as the OP)
24 months for $143.80 (40% discount; same as the OP)

This is what I received as well. Maybe because OP never used a trial before?

fyi: when I canceled another kindle unlimited offer I had received and accepted via an email offer yesterday to replace with this better 6 month offer, I got a popup in Amazon offering 3 more months for 9.99. Even better, I took that instead.

Yeah, I’m seeing a Chase offer of 20% back/$3 max on Kindle Unlimited. Not bad to pair with one of these.
