- American Airlines is offering 400 bonus miles when you spend $200 or more through the American Airlines shopping portal between 5/9 and 5/16
The Fine Print
- During the “Treat Yourself Bonus” campaign, which runs from 05/09/18 through 05/16/18 at 11:59:59 pm ET (the “Bonus Period”), Member will earn a one-time bonus of 400 AAdvantage® miles on qualifying purchases made through the AAdvantage eShoppingSM mall. This one-time bonus award will be determined based on Member’s cumulative qualifying purchases made during the Bonus Period: Earn 400 miles for qualifying purchases of at least $200 or more. All other terms apply. Void where prohibited by law.
- “Qualifying purchases” do not include returns, cancellations, shipping and handling, taxes, gift card or other cash equivalent purchases, and certain products that are not eligible for bonus miles. Please see the AAdvantage eShopping SM mall site for details on product eligibility and other restrictions. Please allow 8-10 weeks after the Bonus Period for bonus miles to post to your AAdvantage eShopping SM account.
Our Verdict
Basically an extra 2 miles per $1 spent if you spend exactly $200. As always use cashbackmonitor or similar to compare to other shopping portals to ensure you’re getting the best possible deal. Alaska Airlines is also offering the same deal but for 500 miles instead of 400.
