American Express has quietly launched their new offer website AmExOffers.com as a way for cardholders to view all offers currently available to them. You can view all the regular offers that are available through the americanexpress.com website, as well as all of their social media offers.
Offers will be automatically organized, with those that AmEx has deemed that you’re most likely to use appearing at the top of the results. For social media offers you’ll still need to complete the tasks (e.g sending a tweet with a specific #hashtag) but you’ll no longer need to keep an eye out for the offers as they’ll all appear in the new dashboard.
You can add as many eligible cards to the new portal as you’d like and they’ll all be able to receive the offers listed. Prepaid cards such as Serve & Bluebird will not be eligible to participate.
How To Join & Use AmExOffers.com
- Go to AmExOffers.com
- Log in using your existing User ID and Password
- View the available offers
- Click the offers that you’d like applied to your account (there is no limit to the amount of active offers you can have at any one time). For social media offers you may need to perform certain actions (e.g sending a tweet out with a specific #hashtag, or liking a page on facebook)
- Use your participating AmEx cards at a participating merchant
- Receive your savings as a statement credit on your bill (savings will appear within 90 days of making a purchase)
Our Verdict
The only thing surprising about this addition is that it wasn’t done sooner. AmEx offers have saved consumers over 78.5 million dollars and I’d hazard a guess that AmEx also receives a small kickback from merchants that run a special offer. That being said, anything that makes it easier for consumers to save money is a good thing in our books.
