American Express has increased the referral bonus on the Platinum card to 45,000 points per referral and applicants get the higher 125,000 + 10x point offer. When you refer somebody you also earn an additional 4x points per $1 spent on shop small and restaurant purchases for the next six months on up to $25,000 in spend.
