American Express has a program called #AmExAppreciates and every now and then they send out gift cards to Platinum cardholders thanking them for being a cardholder. It looks like another round of these gift cards have been sent out, this time $250 cards to John Hardy Jewelry.
There doesn’t seem to be any specific way that American Express targets cardholders (e.g. it’s not based on spend as some people have reported receiving a gift card with lots of spend on the card and others have reported receiving one with no spend at all).
