- American Express has sent out a physical offer for 75,000 points when a business opens a second Business Platinum card. Bonus is broken down as follows:
- 50,000 points after you spend $10,000 within three months
- Additional 25,000 points after you spend an additional $10,000 within three months

- Valid until 3/16/2020
- Annual fee of $595 is not waived the first year
- Card earns at the following rates:
- 5x points per $1 spent on purchases made with airlines or hotels booked directly from AmericanExpress Travel website
- 1.5x points on qualifying purchases of $5,000 or more
- 1x points on all other purchases
- $200 airline incidental credit per calendar year

Our Verdict
Interesting that they are targeting businesses that already hold a Platinum card, I guess it’s not that surprising given that some benefits are only available to the primary cardholder and not on the employee cards. I still would’ve thought that they could solve that with an employee card with the same annual fee and benefits but this works as well. Obviously doesn’t have any lifetime language as they are targeting those that have an active card already.
