  • Offer valid for purchases made directly with Alaska Airlines through alaskaair.com, US reservation telephone line, or US mobile app

What kind of AS flight would I have to book to be able to cancel the flight and save the funds towards a future flight? Does it have to be areundable flight? Does it have to be a NON refundable flight? And would the funds/ticket be usable for any routing, or does it have to be the same routing? Thanks!

Book any flight (non-refundable will also work) at least 65 days out, wait 24+ hours, then cancel the ticket. Funds will be available in your wallet. You have 1 yr from the date of original purchase date to use the funds. You can book tickets on any Alaska operated flight IME.

Hello, I heard about tricks about Alaska ticket cancellation, but I am just curious if the refund credit can be rolled over. Say, I book a ticket of $250 65 days away on 12/15/2017, and cancel the ticket after a few days but more than 60 days before departure, then I suppose to get a refund of $250 in credit in my wallet which will expire on 12/14/2018. Then if I book another ticket for $260 using that credit of $250 (and pay $10 out of my pocket) on 12/10/2018, and cancel it again, will I get a refund of $260 which expires on 12/9/2019? Or will I only get $10 instead? Thanks!

Oh great, so we’ve all seen reports of offers that show up on the old amex site but not on the new site, right? Well, on this Alaska offer, I see it on the new amex site, but not the old one.

I got it in my one of my cards. Too bad there are only 3 flights coming out of ORD.
One to SEA, one to SFO, and one to LAX. 🙁

got the MR offer, but out of ORD very limited options on Alaska aircraft, any codeshares booked with Alaska always prices way higher, I suppose I could book a speculative ticket but, eghhh..will have to give that some thought
