  • Valid only on purchases made in US dollars.
  • Please note that hotels, car rental companies, cruise lines do not accept prepaid cards for charges authorized in advance, although prepaid cards may be used to settle the final bill. Check to make sure prepaid cards are accepted before attempting to use your prepaid card to take advantage of offers for these merchants.
  • Excludes Rocket Miles, RocketTravel and Tripfuel.

Our Verdict

I believe this one is showing on all American Express business cards.

HotelStorm also offers 15% cash back when you go through a portal, but it’s not clear if that can stack; best bet is to go through the portal, then navigate to the official landing page and hope it tracks.

You also won’t receive any hotel loyalty benefits if you book through a third party site such as HotelStorm or earn any elite night credits – so this makes the most sense if you’re booking a room at a non chain property or you don’t care about status. As always with any hotel deal, make sure you cross compare and include stacking discounts on other sites (as outlined here).

I regret this deal too. I realized that I had a $100 off $500 Marriott offer on the same account! I missed qualifying nights, Marriott points, and $25 additional cash back.

Doesn’t stack with top Cashback even if you get it to track :/

I did this deal. I regret it. Two reasons. You can’t stack (w/ TCB) and the taxes on my hotel were $95 vs $60 on Expedia or booking direct. I think there is a new trend in cash back offers targeted at folks effectively gaming corporate expense accounts. This is one of them.
