Apple has agreed to pay $250 million to settle claims that it failed to deliver promised AI-powered Siri features on select iPhone 15 and 16 models purchased between June 10, 2024, and March 29, 2025.
Who Is Eligible
The Settlement Class includes all purchasers in the US of an iPhone 16, iPhone 16e, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, iPhone 16 Pro Max, iPhone 15 Pro, or iPhone 15 Pro Max who purchased a device in the US for non-resale purposes between June 10, 2024, and March 29, 2025.
How Much
Cash payment is projected at $25 per device. That amount may be adjusted up or down with a maximum payment of $95 per device, depending on the number of claims filed.
Important Dates
- The iPhone purchase must have been between June 10, 2024 and March 29, 2025
- Claim must be filed by December 21, 2026
- Final approval hearing will be February 24, 2027
Our Verdict
Looks like easy money for those eligible. Most class lawsuits end up being just a few dollars, but this one is estimating $25; let’s hope that doesn’t get adjusted down.
This lawsuit is separate from the Apple eavesdropping lawsuit that completed settlement in 2025.
