Reader Matt got email on a new Bank of America card that they are extending the sign up bonus spending timeframe by 90 days due to COVID-19. Email was sent out automatically, so presumably everyone who has a new BofA card got the email.
Chase and Amex released similar offers with Chase adding 3 months for applications January through March and Amex adding 3 months for applications December through May. We don’t know the exact application timeframe that BofA’s extension applies to. There have been reports of others banks offering extensions upon request, but only these 3 have so far released automatic extensions.
Update: Multiple reports in the comments indicate that this is being sent out on business cards as well.
