Reader Craig sent this one in and I’m seeing it as well. Might be targeted. I’m unsure if this offer is only showing with Bank of America or with other bank offers as well. This offer is only valid for a single use.
Mine was awarded yesterday for the full 5%. It never went to pending, it went straight to earned after the deal expired for a gas fill up two weeks ago.
It took 17 days for mine to go from Available to Earned, but, i did get the full 5%
Well, my cash back for this deal is pending now, but it’s only 2% of the total. I guess they meant up to 5%, accounting for it being my 3% category. So even with Platinum Honors Preferred Rewards it’s only 7.25% total. Pretty lame.
Randomly got another 2% pending. No idea why they would split it up like that, but now it’s an extra 4%. So with category bonus and Platinum Honors it’s 9.25% total cash back.
Has anybody seen this deal as at least processing so far? Usually BofA deals show as processing immediately, but this one didn’t for me. However, it does say “Cash back may not be processed for over 30 days or until a complete future billing cycle.” which is not just the standard language.
I got it. It appeared on the Account Summary page and not on the deals page. After I activated it from the Account Summary page, it showed up on the deals page as activated.
Does costco gas work for this? I know it counts as gas for chase but unsure about BoA.

I enabled this before I got gas at Safeway today but it didn’t trigger (no email and doesn’t show the deal as processing). Odd because the MCC is gas stations and it’s always counted for the 3% rewards category.
Can my BofA business cards trigger this offer or only personal cards?

Can I use mobile pay and pay at the pump? Would it trigger the bonus?
