Our Verdict

Better than the public 80k offer that doesn’t have the annual fee waived. Also better than last years 80k offer, but not as good as the 100k offer from 2021. I’ll add this to our list of the best credit card bonuses, make sure to read these things to know about Barclays before applying

tried this one but it said my application was under review. some guy claiming to be from barclays called though and was asking for my SSN which seemed a bit suspicious. Should I just wait until I get a letter in the mail?

I have been rejected by Barclays for years but applied last night after confirming that I was pre-qualified. My application went to review but I called this morning and was approved after answering a few “security” questions. I used the number listed at https://www.doctorofcredit.com/credit-cards/credit-card-reconsideration-line-telephone-numbers/#Barclays_Credit_Card_Reconsideration.

What was your 6/24 account number when you applied? < 6/24?

Hey rychastings, Many banks will ask for the SSN to quickly pull up your application information, but I agree with you about not giving out your SSN to a random incoming phone call. If I call the bank, no problem. Are you < 6/24 ?

Agree on not giving out SS on an incoming call. I was doing the Chase biz ACH a couple weeks back and they had to do their thing to verify and such and they asked me for my PIN number. Not to enter into the phone, actually tell them. Never had that before at any bank.

My wife applied literally days before this went live. Is there any chance they will honor this new offer or are we short of luck?

What is the value of a “point”? Can points be redeemed for cash or as a credit on the card balance? Or can they only be used for JetBlue flights? I don’t fly and I’ve never had an airlines credit card. Thanks for any info.

Pulled the trigger for this 80k offer. Applied at 3/24 and instant approval. Applied a couple times in the past when the 100k offer was available and both times were a no-go (was way above 6/24). Used zip code for the PROMO CODE.

How hard is it to get approved for this card if one has great credit score but lots of hard pulls this year?

I know that about a year ago Barclays told me that I had to many hard pulls when I applied for Wyndham card…

Finally managed to get in. Had to move some credit line from Aviator. Tried in 2023 and 2024 when they had 80k offers, got rejected both times due to 6/24. Applied at 5/24 this time around and that did it.

I did the pre-approval and was denied. I won’t be applying. I assume it’s because I recently got another Barclays card.

Where is the preapproval option?

There is a blue tab that says “Do I prequalify?” on the bottom of the window. You need to go to the website and select the jetblue plus card.

You have that this is better than last year’s 80k offer but it’s actually worse. Last year was $1k spend, this one is $6kz

Does anyone have a no annual fee link like this for the business version of this card?
