Our Verdict

Doesn’t work on gift cards, but still useful for ordinary shopping.

Amex has an offer ongoing through year’s end to get $25 off $250. These deals stack well to get $50 off a $275 purchase. Or you can stack it with $20 off $200 with Discover and get $45 off a $220 purchase.

Go through the Swagbucks portal for 4% back at Best Buy today or use the portal of your choice.

There’s also a Visa Checkout deal at Newegg today as well.

Gift cards are fine in cart as long as you have $100 worth of applicable items there also.

Trying to buy a ZVOX sounder (total with tax is $315, but not seeing the Visa Checkout discount even though I’m using VisaCheckout.

I should actually see the $25 discount, right?

Looked at the exclusion list above and don’t see ZVOX as one of the excluded items

That list of exceptions is unreal.

Plus I don’t Best Buy carries VGC’s in stores anymore, so these offers have effectively become worthless. Unless of course you actually need something from Best Buy.

The one near me does, they were kind of hard to spot though, they were branded best buy but if I remember correctly they were metabank $200.

VGC’s are still carried. Since the AMEX offer started I have often walked in stores and seen little to none. Others are heavily taking advantage of the AMEX offers 🙂

Interesting, I went to 3 different ones and couldn’t find VGC. I went the day the amex offer came out too. I was told by a manager they don’t carry them but I’m not 100% sure he really knee. I’m typically the person that snags mist of them when the amex offer comes out. Karma catching up with me.

I concur. My local BB stores took them off the shelf. I confirmed with the employees and manager himself.
