[Expired] Bilt Rent Day: 100% Transfer Bonus To AirFrance/KLM FlyingBlue

The Offer

  • For Bilt Rent Day (5/1/23) Bilt is offering a 100% transfer bonus to AirFrance/KLM FlyingBlue

Our Verdict

Normally points transfer at a rate of 1:1, with this promotion it’ll be at a rate of 1:2. This is a very good transfer bonus and worth considering if you have any Bilt points.

I am considering transferring points just to get this bonus even though I have no upcoming travel. Am I dumb or is it worthwhile to do this?

This card has no SUB, it take years to earn ever 50-100k Bilt pts lol. This was a great idea from their marketing team to lured in newbies LoL, wasting a 5/24 slot.

Unless you pay insane rent… In which case I have no idea how they can do this card at all.

It’s all relative, but rent is insane in much of the U.S. I mostly only use it to pay rent or for dining purchases on the first of the month (6x), plus additional small transactions to get to 5 purchases per cycle. I’ve earned 40k points in one year.

3% charge for other CCs makes paying my rent less attractive for SUB churning. For the right SUB, I’ll pay the juice, but I like having the no AF/no processing fee option.

You can earn 50K points in the first 6 days (the day you get the card is day 0 or 5) https://www.biltrewards.com/terms/5x

I got the card in Nov. On Feb, I sent 80K points for a 100% bonus to Hawaiian Airlines.

not everyone receives this offer. I got the card last week and wasn’t offered the 5x in 5 days offer and Bilt support said they can’t do anything and that it is totally random which new cardmembers get that offer.

i’d still pay a 2-3% and churn my rent than use Bilt. SUBS BIZ > BILT

That’s rather silly. I recently got a r/t to Paris on Air France for 34K Flying Blue points. The cash price has been between $1750-2900 for that ticket. I’ve earned over 30K using the Bilt card in the 6 months I’ve had it. Using the current transfer promo you would only need 17K points for that flight. Just using the low end of the award price at $1750 values the points at 10.29 cents each for that award. This is obviously just an extreme example but it gives you an idea. Hyatt is one of the Bilt transfer partners and you can easily get great redemptions there. You’re definitely not coming out ahead by paying 2-3% with another card for your rent.

For that same 5/24 slot, you could have earned, say, 90K UR (= 90,000 Flying Blue) with a CSP or 150K MR (= 150,000 Flying Blue) with an Amex Plat or 80K TY (= 80,000 Flying Blue) with a Citi Premier or 75K C1 (= 75,000 Flying Blue) with a C1 VX or ….

well not everyone is a newbie
Some people might already got the CSR ,CSP, CIP, CIC, CIU, Amex Platinum(2x), Amex Gold (2X), C1 VX …
For someone NEW to the churn/air miles games by all means stuff yourself with all the 5/24 slots but for others has been around this BILT is a valuable option if you have rent payment.
And remember your 5/24 the 24 months will end at some point too

What a terribly naive comment. If you have been around long enough, you’ll be coming up for eligibility for CSP/CSR MDD again, you’ll be eligible for the Plat & Gold again (~7 years), you haven’t even mentioned all the terrific personal cards from other issuers (BoA, Citi, Barclays), all the other Amex & Chase personal cards, etc etc etc.

If you’re already over 5/24 and still have a long way to wait for the 48 month requirement to get the Chase bonus points again then this is a great card to get. And you’re still eligible to get Citi, Barclays, Amex, etc since they don’t have a 5/24 rule.

Maybe… just maybe… people have already churned through those cards?

This card has no annual fee and it’s very easy to earn a lot of points. I’ve earned thousands of bonus points just for linking to partners, to Amazon, for answering trivia questions. I’ve earned over 30K points in the 6 months I’ve had the card, not bad considering I already have every Chase UR card, It’s a great card to have if you’re already well over 5/24.

I earned 38,000 points using it in the background, and STILL got the bonuses on the Amex Green (50k), Amex EDP (15K), Amtrak Preferred (30k), and Amex Delta Platinum (90k), and retention bonuses on the Amex Delta Gold (10k) and Amex Green (10k). No spending requirement meant that I was free to do all those other things in parallel. I’m 14/24, with 25 cards and locked out of Chase, Barclays, Capital One, and BofA until things cool off. Maxed out with Amex (5 credit cards, 1 charge).

Now because of those chess moves, I’m positioned to get 76,000+ FB miles with this transfer bonus, just from rent and utilities alone, and exactly a year after I got the card. If that’s not a SUB, what game are you playing? LOL

Is there a wiki on how to earn Bilt points ‘in the background’?

If you screwed yourself by going 14/24, yes the Bilt is a good option. Meanwhile I’m earning a cool 920K UR per year alone between P2 and me by staying under 5/24 and riding the Ink train. Enjoy your 38K Bilt points LOL.

How many Ink cards do you have? Can i have more than 1 under the same SSN?

Anybody can “Ink” whatever stats they want, but since you put it out there, you can ride something else as well…and it starts with “deez”. Your P2 is a blowup doll, Bobby Lobby. LMAO

Not sure why you’re so bitter, Fenspinbi? You’re the one who started citing stats LOL. My Ink haul is, in fact, very low compared to others who MS and push Chase’s velocity.

Solid offer.

Sorry I don’t know the answer here. Is there a history of this or do we think we’ll see a regular trend of Rent Day transfer bonuses?
