Bilt Rewards Adds Hilton As A 1:1 Transfer Partner

Bilt Rewards has added Hilton as its latest transfer partner. Unfortunately the transfer rate is 1:1, making it not worth using. Until 6/8 they will give you an additional 1,000 points on any transfer (there is a 1,000 point minimum) meaning if you transferred 1,000 points you’d get 2,000 points but if you transfer 10,000 points you’d get 11,000 points. Bilt is known for generous transfer bonuses, but it would have to be an insane bonus for me to consider it for Hilton points.

BILT must be stuck on 1:1, regardless of the actual values. This works well for programs like Hyatt, where the redemptions there are often 2-3x. But for Hilton, where the breakeven is 0.5, that’s a nope for me dawg. Only worthwhile for 1000 BILT to 2000 Hilton, but then again Amex offers that every day.

Bilt also stopped the 100 bonus points for linking partner to Bilt

We currently aren’t offering bonus points for linking to our loyalty partners at this time, but you can still transfer your Bilt Points 1:1 with any of our loyalty partners. You can also follow us on Instagram (@biltrewards) to stay up-to-date on our latest offerings.

I maxed them out. The last one was Marriott. Got about 7k Aeroplan points and I don’t have the card.

I hope this doesn’t mean Hyatt leaving… Might transfer my points there just incase as I use them there anyway.

Transferring credit card pointies to Hyatt is always a good proposition.

At least Chase UR to Hyatt should still be around.. for now.

I would wait for any formal announcement. They won’t just drop the partner on a dime, you will have at least a month or more to transfer out (like they did w/ AA).

There are unsubstantiated rumors Hyatt is wanting to end the partnership.

Would much rather keep AA – would love a sweet bonus as they get removed in June, but that’s never happening.

Will hold off linking accounts until/unless there is a no-transfer link bonus (I think we’ve seen a few of these with Bilt in the past) – I value 1000 Bilt points waaaaay higher than 2000 HH.

My bad, once I applied to for Bilt they removed AA the same month.

But seriously I doubt there’s many, if any, people who wouldn’t rather keep AA than almost any other partner, being Bilt was one of the last programs with AA.

But if they lose Hyatt for Hilton we’re then in my eyes that’s a massive deval for Bilt. Almost any Hyatt at 16k would be comprable to a Hilton at 60k-70k. That would be a big blow, and my bad again.

It’s worth $4 on Amazon.
