The Bitmo gift card app is currently offering a $5 gift card bonus when signing up. Here’s how to get about doing this deal:
- Download the Bitmo App for free (iOS or Android)
- Create your account and verify your info (Name & Address etc)
- Once you’ve create an account, locate the Account tab and then click ‘Promo Codes’ and apply one of the following promo codes
- GIFTB&BW
- GIFTULTA
- GIFTSEPHORA
- GIFTPANERA
- GIFTDOMINOS
I believe you’ll get a different $5 gift card, depending which promo code you use. E.g. if you use the GIFTULTA code, you’ll get a $5 Ulta gift card. Once you receive your $5 gift card, you can exchange it for a different brand by clicking on your Wallet tab > Exchange.
Not sure it’s worth the hassle for the free $5 gift card, but a lot of people are probably considering signing up anyway since Bitmo frequently runs special gift card discounts.Â
Bitmo does not accept credit cards so you need to input a bank account to buy gift cards. No need to input your bank to get this free $5 offer, but you’ll need to do so if you want to buy from them in the future.

Rebooting for those who might be in a similar boat where they have funds tied up in a Bitmo account that can’t be access and no response from support. We purchased (and stored (lesson learned) gift cards in Bitmo…now it is like it is stolen.
HI, PR @PR !!! SAME HERE!!! So stressed and infuriated with this scenario! Finally going to use my last $100 to $120 (approx) credits with Bitmo a few days ago and realized that I could not login or access their site and app.
I submitted a ticket to their zendesk which is still up but I doubt I will get an answer.
Surely they can’t just steal our money like this?! No warnings or emails whatsoever about this “shutdown” wtf.
I have filed a complaint and review with the BBB and BCFP to hopefully get some more eyes on this. Perhaps you can file there too? I am hoping the more people report, the more this will help us fight to get our access back to our funds.
I have seen people post about the possibility of a class action and I am all for that if that is what it will take for us to access our Bitmo gift cards and funds again.
This is so horrible. They just stole our money like some low level crooks / thieves!
Easy $5 to spend at Dunkin. Used the Panera code, exchanged it to Dunkin Gift Card and then loaded it to my Dunkin app
Done – they have enough deals that I’ve meant to do this before, but somehow never got around to it. Free $5 never hurts.

Apparently you sign up, then enter the promo code in your account setting to claim the gift card, which takes another 1-2 days to clear.

when you try to exchange tons of options come up but sadly no amazon or ebay. I exchanged mine for dunkin donuts
I downloaded and signed up for bitmo few days back but bailed out after knowing that bank account details need to be provided.
I was able to get the $5 GC and exchange to one of my choice, no bank details necessary.
