Starting later this year both Capital Bank & First Tennessee Bank will start using the new unified brand name of ‘First Horizon Bank‘. Previously the Capital Bank brand was used in FL, NC and SC and First Tennessee was used in TN, TX, VA. Basically this is just a name change, nothing else will be changing.
Until Dec 22, First Horizon offering $200 checking bonus to new customers, who have not closed an account in last 12 months under previous brands (Capital Bank, First Horizon or First Tennessee). Presumably, DoC data points and referral links from those brands carry-over, until we learn otherwise.

Within about two years, my local branch has changed from Community Bank to Capital Bank, and now to First Horizon Bank.
I use them for my business checking and personal emergency fund because of location and immediate access to cash. My year-long promo rate on the savings of 2% runs out in about a month. We’ll see what happens then.
