Marketing genius. Send out a free cookbook and cardholders use its card to make purchases to create some of the recipes.

Came here to see people whining about free stuff, as expected the comments did not disappoint. xpiredsodapop may be the outlier who would’ve appreciated the freebie.

Yup! I didn’t sign up for the card but could always use an extra cookbook!

Hope people really didn’t throw them way haha.

I wouldn’t mind having a cookbook if someone wants to mail one to me. I’ll cover postage and all that.

So the card that gives 4% back at restaurants but only 2% at grocery sends out a cookbook. Okay sure.

CongestionCharge
Real head-scratcher that one – Hardback book version in an iFad/Galaxy S4 Tab age for those Millennial’s and Gen-Xers that still dable in the culinary arts ..er cook from scratch nowadays in the kitchen.

But Cap1 scored with Google Pay promo-

I do think the $10 Amex Gold dining credits or Pt $15 UberEats credits are a little more relevant perks.

But schwag is schawag (except the south of the border brick schwag that is a about as rare as a payphone from Humboldt to Victoria BC).

Yeah but you get that $500 sign up bonus. Don’t you think that is worth a trip to the trash can?
