Our Verdict

We saw the same offer at the end of last year/start of this year as well. If you spend the full $50,000 required you’ll earn a total of $3,000/300,000 points ($2,000 bonus plus $1,000 from the spend itself) that works out to be exactly 6% back. We’ve seen offers of  $500 after $5k spend, and $1k after $10k spend as well. Capital One business cards also report on your personal credit reports (though lately they seem to have stopped reporting the Spark Cash card, specifically) which is important for anybody worrying about Chase’s 5/24 rule. They also pull all three credit bureuas.

Capital One miles are now transferable to transfer partners (2:1.5 unless otherwise stated)

  • Aeromexico
  • Aeroplan (Air Canada)
  • Alitalia
  • Avianca
  • Cathay Pacific
  • Emirates (2:1 rate)
  • Etihad Airways
  • EVA Air, Finnair
  • Flying Blue (Air France and KLM)
  • Hainan Airlines
  • JetBlue (2:1 rate)
  • Qantas
  • Qatar Airways
  • Singapore (2:1 rate)

Capital One occasionally offers transfer bonuses as well. A lot of spend required for this offer, so won’t be attractive for most readers but if you’re able to generate a lot of spend then this might be a good offer for you. We will be adding this to our best credit card bonus page.

Started seeing new offers in Yahoo! mail ads, but it appears to be available via direct link https://www.capitalone.com/small-business/credit-cards/cash-back/

Spark Cash Select: $200 w $3k spend in 3 months / 1.5% cashback / $0 annual fee / 0% APR for 9 months
Spark Cash: $500 w $4.5k spend in 3 months / 2% cashback / $0 annual fee first year, $95 after that William Charles

Offer’s tempting, but they have a triple HP. Plus, this site says that they don’t report to personal credit reports anymore. The latter could actually be a good thing if you want to max out the 1.5% card during the 9-month 0% APR period and not worry about the ding to your score for maxing out the card.

Links are dead.

3/24, 0/6 and 2/6 inquiries on both Equifax and Transunion respectively. 2 new accounts opened in the last year (both in August) but none in the last 6 months. Froze Experian before applying because it’s a mess.

Applied for the $500 dollar bonus, because that was good enough for me.

This offer seems to be back. I just stumbled across it on the Capital One website when searching it from Baidu.

DP: 6/24, 500k/Rev, 10k-20k/Mo Expense, Personal Income 140k/year, Given 20k limit

NotDead Can you elaborate a bit on how you got the offer? Baidu gives me the same $500 offer
Did you save the link by any chance?

Is this churnable? I have just closed the spark miles card.

Dead (link not working)?
An update would be great if the deal comes back again

It’s dead William Charles

Might have been dead before Doctor of Credit email was sent out this morning. I received email at 8:03 CST and it was advertising this sign up bonus. I wish someone from DOC would review the emails more carefully.
