Our Verdict

Public bonus is only $500, we’ve seen these targeted offers of $1,000 before and we even found a public link last year as well. Looks like Capital One is getting smarter as this requires a unique reservation number and access code to get the $1,000 this time. Overall this is a good offer, basically 10% cash back on all purchases if you spend $10,000 exactly (really 12% as this card earns 2% back on all purchases). Hitting the $10,000 spend requirement might be difficult for some people, but most businesses shouldn’t have too much trouble.

Traditionally the major complaint about Capital One has been that they pull all three credit bureaus and unfortunately they still do this. How much of an issue this is will really depend on where you live and what other issuers pull (e.g in some areas all issuers will only pull the same issuer so having inquiries on the other two issuers doesn’t really matter). You can also freeze your Experian or TransUnion report and they will just pull the other two and still approve youAlso some evidence to suggest they have a one card per six month rule. If you’re not familiar with Capital One please read these things everybody should know about Capital One credit cards first. If this wasn’t targeted I’d be adding it to our list of the best business credit card bonuses.

any experience getting approved for multiples of the same card? Was targeted for this offer even though I already have the card…

$59 ongoing AF is also lower than the standard ($95). Of course, paying an AF for a Capital One business card is silly. (It might be worth it to pay an AF on a 2% business card from another issuer that was actually a hidden TL…)

Yeah was already rejected once for this offer when I used someone else’s mailer, and I don’t want to risk another 3 pulls just to have them reject me again

How do I opt in to receive Capital One emails? I don’t recall ever getting emails from them, and I only have a savings account with them.

The key is actually getting approved for it.

I am not saying they are very lenient. But 3 of my household members got approved same day for the card. All 3 had at least 13 new accounts each opened in the past 24 months

Just a DP. FWIW

They shut down all my cards and all of my accounts less than a year ago but I was able to get approved for this card.

Sometimes the deal is targeted and sometimes it’s not targeted. I got it when it wasn’t targeted from this site.

I bought an invitation code from code sharing thread on r/churning. My bonus just posted as soon as I hit the 10k spend.

Really solid offer, as the card is one of the best for non-category business spend. I’ll say Capital One was willing to waive my AF every year, and even scheduled annual calls with me to check in and waive the fee. I was putting around $100k in expenses on the card though. Ymmv.

They’ve cheerfully waived my annual fees every year when they come due. Just a 2 minute phone call.

Isn’t it essentially 12% back with the bonus if all purchases are 2% back?

Also, this reports to your personal credit report, adding to your 5/24 count.

And it pulls from all three bureaus, unless you freeze your EX. But worth the $1K bonus if you can meet the $10K minimum spend.
