Cardcash Now Sells Brand-New Digital Gift Cards and Why That’s Awesome

Cardcash now sells brand new gift cards to dozens of merchants. This is different than Cardcash’s core business which is selling discounted second-hand gift cards.

Direct Link

Why would anyone be interested in buying full-price gift cards from Cardcash instead of buying direct? Because when paying with Paypal, Cardcash codes at 5x with INK for some odd reason.

There are currently over 75 brands of brand-new gift cards available, full list here. I imagine the brands that will interest the most people are Best Buy and Amazon. Other interesting brands: Southwest, Toys R Us, eBay, Hotels.com, Gamestop, Sears, Groupon, Staples.

  • You can specify an exact card denomination
  • Get large denomination cards
  • Earn 5x with INK when paying with Paypal
  • No issues with gift cards going bad
  • No issues with depleted inventory

I tested it out with a $15 Amazon e-gift card ($15 is the minimum needed to check out on Cardcash), paid with Paypal, and got the digital gift card one minute later. Higher dollar amounts might get held up for verification. If they work it out so that everything comes instantly, that would be next-level awesome.  It shows on INK as “PAYPAL *CARDCASH” like ordinary Cardcash purchases paid with Paypal.

Basically, this is a new UR version of MPX where you can specify exactly how much you want. Instead of earning the bonus United miles with MPX, you’ll earn the UR bonus with Cardcash. Note, MPX has much more available options. Also, MPX has instant delivery. (Seashells is another option like that for instant gift cards with a cash discount instead.)

  • Gift card vendors who code at 5x: PPDG, eBay/PPDG, Gyft, Swych, Giftcardmart, Cardcash, Staples stores, staples.com, Office Depot/Max stores.

I wonder how Cardcash worked this out – is it a separate partnership with each retailer or is everyone going through one middle-man? (It doesn’t appear to be Cashstar.)

Lots of people have problems with second-hand gift cards, this should have no issues at all since they are brand new cards.

We’ll add this method to our Complete List of Methods to Buy Gift Cards with Discounts and Bonus Rewards.

Ordered the $200 Ebay card over an hour ago and I’m still waiting. FWIW it’s been a while since I last ordered from them, and I’ve moved to a different state since then too so all my details have changed for this order.

Well, it’s been 3 days now and I still haven’t received my ebay GC. How long does this normally take?

So after emailing them half a dozen times and getting the run around I was going through the Paypal dispute motions when they gave me an actual person to email at Cardcash before submitting the claim and today I finally received my GC. FOURTEEN days after placing the order. That is absolutely unacceptable.

Slightly off-track question but does paying on amazon using gift card earning JetBlue miles?

As long as you went through the Jetblue link recently enough, you get the miles. It doesn’t matter what payment method you used.

So it’s 5 UR and 2c per dollar for Amazon. Not bad.

Funny. You can now get more Southwest points by purchasing a Southwest flight with a Chase Ink, via GC, than buying the same flight with a Chase SW card.

Does it matter which INK card you’re using to pay or does the 5x only for INK Plus?

These offerings just merely look the same you can get via PPDG. Are there any differences in cards offered?

I’d reccommend PPDG for creditworthiness instead.

Don’t be pedantic. There are an infinite number of exact denominations that are over $15.
