Amazon Prime members can signup for the Chase Amazon Prime Rewards Visa card and get a $200 Amazon gift card bonus. This offer will begin on July 1st and continue through July 29, 2022.

This is part of Prime Day 2022 special lead-up deals.

Card earns the following rates:
- Earns 5% back at Amazon.com & Whole Foods with an eligible Prime membership
- Earns 3% back at Amazon.com & Whole Foods without an eligible Prime membership
- Earns 2% back at restaurants, gas stations, and drug stores
- Earns 1% back on all other purchases
- There are often special offers to get 10% – 20% back on select specially-marked Amazon purchases for cardholders

Our Verdict

Standard signup bonus is $100 Amazon gift card for Prime members and $50 for non-Prime. These numbers vary up and down, and only occasionally does it go up to $200 bonus for Prime members. Now is a good time to get in on this if you find the card interesting.

I’m at 8- or 9/24. I previously got the bonus on Black Friday. Canceled the card in June. Auto-approved today.

Activated an offer for $1.99 for 1 week of Prime to use the Microsoft 365 offer. Figured I might as well try for this while I have Prime.
Instant approval with 8/24.

Since no one could give me an answer here or on Slickdeals, I figured I go ahead and apply for my wife under my account to see what happens (Amazon CSR assured me it would work). My account already had the Amazon VISA card which I received in November with the $200 offer. She was approved and $200 was immediately added to my gift card balance. Done and done.

So the answer is YES, you can apply for a P2 with this offer and have the P1 primary account receive the $200 bonus.

Applied and got a message saying they needed more time to process my application. Called recon to verify identity. Approved with a 24k limit about an hour later (card also now shows up in my Chase account).

Transunion hard pull only (USA-IL zip).

Before application was at 6/24 (but one was HMBradley card so probably just 5/24 since that still hasn’t appeared on reports).

$200 gift card auto added to amazon account. Was able to add card as payment method for Amazon immediately.

I currently have the card associated with my account (did the offer during black friday 2021). When I click the link I get the $200 offer. Can I apply with my wife and receive the offer? Or does the name of the applicant need to match the prime holder’s name?
