Chase Amazon Visa – Redemption Minimum Now 1 Point

Chase offers the Chase Amazon Visa, this card earns points that can be redeemed for statement credit at a rate of 1¢ per point. Previously the minimum redemption limit was $20/2,000 points, that has now change and there is no longer a minimum redemption (e.g you can redeem a single point for 1¢). Not a huge change, but this is one of the best credit cards for Amazon purchases and it’s always nice not having to hit these minimum redemption.

This changed a minimum of a 1 year ago, so I’m sure it was before this. I did a screenshot in May 2018 on the Chase Amazon card to show a test $1.05 redemption to my bank account as proof that it worked. It shows the $0.01 minimum and your choice of deposit to account or statement credit.

I didn’t know this was a thing to report as I thought it was just known.

Pretty sure I wrote a comment on this on a related post about a year ago.

For a moment I thought this was a devaluation but then there’s really nothing less than a point.

I’ve always just cashed out to a Chase checking account as you don’t earn/save 5% off when using points.

Granted I know that you earn 5X UR on Amazon GC with CIC at office stores.

Ditto! You lose earning 5% on your redemption value. It can mean a lot for heavy spenders and MS folks.

You only lose it if you redeem for Amazon credit. Statement credit doesn’t hurt your earnings.
