You can now enroll your Chase Freedom to earn 5% Chase UR points (5.5% if you have a Chase checking account as you receive a 10% rebate annually) for Q3 2014. The categories are as follows:
- Gas stations
- Kohl’s

You’ll start earning 5% on July 1st, but it’s always a good idea to register early so you don’t forget. If you like 5% cash back on gas stations, then remember there are cards that give you 5% cash back year round.

Spending Tips
You earn 5% on the first $1,500 in purchases per quarter. We always try to give you a few tips & tricks on how to maximum this without spending money you don’t need to. Making purchases from Kohl’s is not worthwhile as you should be able to get more than a 5% discount by buying gift cards through a gift card reseller [see: gift card granny]. The only exception would be if you are able to purchase items that cannot be purchased with a regular Kohl’s gift card (unlikely). Here are some other tips:
- Make regular gas purchases
- Look for gift cards at gas store locations near you, some people have reported success purchase OneVanilla cards at 7-11 locations. You can then use Evolve Money or another manufactured spending method to unload these cards.
