Chase Pay Can Now Be Linked To Samsung Pay

Chase Pay customers can now link their account to Samsung Pay. This means you can use Chase Pay at terminals without QR due to Samsung Pay’s Magnetic Secure Transmission technology. Practically it doesn’t have a huge application, as why wouldn’t you just use Samsung Pay directly? I can see this being useful if Chase ever offers 5% on Chase Pay as a category again or they have some sort of Chase Pay specific promotion. There were some rumors (unsure how reliable) that Chase was considering axing Chase Pay despite investing close to $100 million in an attempt to gain traction.

Looks like the ability to add Samsung Pay inside Chase Pay has disappeared.

I still scratch my head why Chase still excludes business cards from Mobile wallets even the primary/or PG card holder
.

I don’t see any way of linking the two. Anyone know what the process is – if it is still an option…..

You need to install the Chase Pay App, then add the card to Samsung Pay as an option inside of Chase Pay

Once they are linked, can I just use Samsung Pay to get Chase Pay benefits or do I have to initiate through the Chase Pay app at the store?

Do you think i’ll be able to get a Wear OS android smart watch and use Samsung Pay through Chase Pay rather than having to get a stupid Samsung one to use Samsung Pay?

When will I be able to link PayPal to my Visa Checkout account via Chase Pay and pay with Samsung Pay? Give the consumer what they want.

William Charles DoC, I believe there is a technical edit on this article. Chase Pay does not use NFC. It uses QR code. I am not the expert, as the couple times I tried to pay with Chase Pay failed with me looking like an idiot. (Shell Fuel Rewards promo a few months ago)

I have trouble using Samsung pay at Walmart credit card terminals. Takes a lot of tries before it will go through.

I had issues with Samsung pay at Walmart for a while, then it started working intermittently, then it started working pretty consistently. The only conclusion I was ever able to come to was that the Ingenico ISC250 payment terminal was crappy.

Samsung pay always offers promos related to stuff like this a week or 2 after they announce so hold out adding it until they do.
