Chase is offering spending bonuses for November & December for the following cards:
- United Club Card 5x points per $1 spent on Amazon & grocery purchases (up to $1,500 per month in combined spend)
- Ritz-Carlton Card 5x points per $1 spent on Amazon & grocery purchases (up to $1,500 per month in combined spend) and 10x points per $1 spent on Marriott purchases (up to $3,500 per month)
- Hyatt Card 5x points per $1 spent on Amazon & 3x points per $1 spent on grocery purchases (up to $1,500 per month in combined spend)
- IHG Card 5x points per $1 spent on Amazon & 3x points per $1 spent on grocery purchases (up to $1,500 per month in combined spend)
- Southwest Card 5x points per $1 spent on Amazon & grocery purchases (up to $1,500 per month in combined spend)
- British Airways Card 5x points per $1 spent on Amazon & grocery purchases (up to $1,500 per month in combined spend)

Our Verdict

It was already announced that the Chase Sapphire Preferred/Reserve will earn 2x/3x points on grocery store purchases.

I tried to pay Walmart grocery with United MPE (did not work) anybody else tried to use it at Walmart? Did you get the extra points?

Got 5X groceries and Amazon on my UA Explorer. 3X/5X on my old Hyatt and IHG cards.

It didn’t work on my world of hyatt card for some reason. But my united, marriott and ihg cards did work

This may be a dumb question, but it isn’t readily clear to me. Is the $1500 per month, also per category? As in $1500 on Amazon and $1500 at grocery stores, or $1500 between both Amazon and grocery stores? Although the latter interpretation seems odd, I haven’t seen anything to conclusively say otherwise.

I went through the direct link above and saw that the 5x for Amazon/Grocery was available for my SW priority as well as P2 SW priority card. I unfortunately did not save the page that showed that you are enrolled in the promotion. I went to SW account and checked and this promotion does not show up in my account as well as P2 account. So I was wondering if there is any way to confirm if one is actually signed up for the promotion (I guess I could try the direct link again and sign up and then take a screenshot?). I have not yet received an email about the promotion. In past promotions I have seen that the email comes late and not at the beginning of the promotion period.
