The Offer

Chase is offering a discount of 10% when you redeem Ultimate Rewards points for the following gift cards:
- Google Play
- Krispy Kreme
- Whole Foods
- Hello Fresh
- eBay
- Bass Pro
- Nike
- Foot Locker
- Guitar Center
- Athleta (20% off)

Our Verdict

eBay/Whole Foods might be an attractive option for some people. Most people will find that they can get more than 1.11¢ per point in value though.

Correct me if I’m wrong guys.. but the best way to get the most value out of UR points is to transfer them to United MileagePlus William Charles ?

Agreed with Josh. Always look at what the redemption cost is, and what partners you could actually use (vs Chase portal). The number of points only matters as much as it costs to use them.

Assuming you have the CSR (not the CSP) and redeem through the Chase Portal, I almost always find United domestic flights to be way less points when booking through the Portal. Plus, you’ll even earn Mileageplus miles since United sees it as a cash transaction. The only transfer partner I really use is Hyatt.
