Amazon is offering an instant discount on select items when you choose no-rush shipping (ht SD). Typically, they offer things like digital credits or Prime Pantry delivery credits. Nice to see an instant discount option. I only see it on one product with the instant discount, currently, pictured below. Here’s the link (affiliate).
I just bumped into something similar on Target.com where they offered me $1 off the purchase if I agreed to have the various items in the shipment consolidated and shipped together.
On Amazon, it’s clearly a limited/test kind of offer, on Target it might be regular feature which I only noticed recently. We did see Amazon test the instant discount idea back in 2017.
