Our Verdict
Most people will not be eligible due to the following language:
- American Airlines AAdvantage® bonus miles are not available if you have had any Citi® / AAdvantage® card (other than a CitiBusiness® / AAdvantage® card) opened or closed in the past 24 months.
This rule is discussed in more depth here. There is also a 60,000 mile offer that most people will prefer. People are also having success getting matched to 75,000 miles on that offer, I doubt that will be possible with this offer but anything is possible I guess. Personally I’d stick to the 60,000 mile offer as most people will find miles are worth at least 1¢ each and that offer doesn’t require the $100 spent on American Airlines purchases.
