Citi Dividend Q1 2022 5% Categories: Amazon.com & Select Streaming Services

Citi Dividend has released their Q1 2022 5% categories (direct link).

  • Amazon.com
  • Select Streaming Services (Amazon Prime Video, Amazon Music, Apple Music, CBS All Access, Disney+, AT&T TV NOW, ESPN+, fuboTV, HBO Max, NBA League Pass, Netflix, Pandora, Showtime, Sling TV, Spotify, Starz, SiriusXM, Vudu, YouTube Red, YouTube TV, and Tidal)

Citi Dividend works differently than most other 5% cards in that you can max out the full $300 cashback for the entire year whenever you’d like, it doesn’t have to be $75 each quarter. Hopefully Q2 is Supermarkets and Drugstores again.

Will, just a FYI for your readers, this is limited to $300 earned per calendar year, not $75 per quarter. Important distinction. What’s the difference? If you completed transactions for the Q4 bonus the prior December (2021) but it doesn’t show up until your January 22 statement, these 2021 transactions count towards your 2022 $300 cap.

I’ve never seen this spelled out before. I’m not familiar with any other card that “carries transactions over” from the prior year and counts towards the following year’s cap, are you?

No, and Citi is aggressively pushing existing Dividend cardholders to the Custom Cash so I wonder if this card is on its last legs.

My spouse had this card. There was no pressure to to convert the card. They just cancelled the card with no notice.

We now have no Citi accounts. They’ve always been a pain to deal with. We won’t open another account with them unless we can really take advantage of them.

Again, Amazon right after Christmas. I was hoping for Home Improvements. Hopefully, Chase Flex will offer it as its first quarter cashback category.

Home Improvements normally appears in Spring season.

Maybe it’s just me. But honestly, it seems like every single year I end up using this card vigorously for just one quarter, then it basically hibernates – maybe one small charge once during the other three quarters just to keep it from going dormant.
