Citi filed a trademark for ‘Citi Clear Cash’ back in June. The filing specifically mentions credit card services and processing rewards. The timing is interesting as this is shortly after the Citi Custom Cash card was discontinued.
It looks like Citi has a ‘Citi Clear Card’ in Hong Kong that offers 2% cash rebate on online spending in foreign currency and 0.4% back on other spending. I’m not familiar with that market at all so no idea if that is competitive. I’d expect any US issued card to be significantly better than that.
