Comenity has sent out letters to existing Comenity Orbitz cardholders informing them that partnership is ending October 4, 2021 and their Orbitz cards will be replaced with a Comenity Mastercard account with Comenity Bank. The important dates are as follows:
- You can continue using existing card until October 3, 2021
- Existing balances will be automatically transferred to the new card.
- Remaining Orbucks on your account as of October 3, 2021 will be transferred to your Orbitz account.
- Orbitz Platinum status will be valid through March 2023
- You can start using the new Comenity Mastercard starting October 5, 2021
Has anyone else had trouble using their website? When I try to go to my rewards page, it looks like it is trying refresh but the web page just hangs with a processing icon that never goes away. I haven’t got the $100 bonus yet but I was trying to see if I could redeem the purchase rewards ~$18 although I cannot find anywhere on their fine print if there is a minimum amount needed to request statement credit on.
Has anyone else with an Orbitz card not received anything? I just logged into my account online and it shows my card active, no notices or anything. Confirmed my email and mailing address are all up to date. I have yet to receive any sort of notification of any changes with the card.
I haven’t received anything, my card just stopped working. I log in and there is no mention of the new card or that the account is cancelled, but my credit karma sent me an email today that it is being reported as closed. I called and they told me about the mastercard. I didn’t receive any correspondence
RIP. Nice for giving the $100, but definitely sock drawer after. Also, the 3% gas and travel is temporary through January 5.
I got an email earlier today from Orbitz. I’m platinum level. My status had been extended thru March 2022 because of COVID. They sent me an email (auto generated) telling me about the credit card ending and as a nice gesture my platinum status will be extended until March 2023 and they gave me $100 free Orbucks. Nice deal.
So what happens? Will the new card generate Orbitz orbucks?

That really sucks. I really enjoy getting 10% cash back for hotels and 7% for flights. Been absolutely killing it.
This was my favorite card before learning about better options. RIP
