Checked RIverhead, NYT where I have bought 3x over last few months and none were available. I asked and was told they only do them “around the holidays”… slightly odd because I bought one in February…. but maybe they sell till gone. Really hoping this comes back.

For those of you who have Amex platinum cards and Uber cash balance, is there a way to use Amex plat benefit first before spending Uber cash balance? I’ve been accumulating $30 Amex plat benefits per month (2 plat cards) using a trick I learned from a friend and I had about $400 Uber cash balance. The trick stopped working in November and the $30 Amex benefit for November expired on 12/1/2020 even though I spent more than $30 in Uber Eats app in November. It seemed that if you have Uber cash balance, the app would use Uber cash balance first instead of Amex plat benefit and there was no option to change it in settings or when you place an order.
I contacted Uber support and their customer support was useless. They just turn my ticket over to another agent and keep asking “To better assist you, can you please provide some additional information about the difficulty you’re facing? We look forward to hearing from you.” I explained my issue with screenshots but they never bother to solve my issue (Uber customer support reps: deveshK, Ashu S., Sahil J., omesh s.).
I just gave up with their support and spent all of my balance this month.
I’ve been able to use the Amex credits before Uber cash. Are you sure you didn’t have any customer service credits on there? Those might apply first before anything else.
I didn’t have any “customer service credits”. I also never bought Uber cash or gift cards. The $400 balance on Uber cash was the result of not spending $30 Amex Platinum monthly benefits (2 cards) each month (there was a trick so it doesn’t expire each month but it doesn’t work anymore since November).
