Our Verdict
The cheapest price you’ll normally see for flights to North Asia is 35,000 miles one way and 40,000 miles one way for to the rest of Asia (Travel is Free has the useful Delta award chart for this) so there is significant savings to be had here (49,000 miles round trip vs up to 80,000 miles is a savings of 39%).
Although the real deal is using up your Delta Skymiles as well all know those things are only going to get less valuable.
