Our Verdict
Normally flights to Mexico start at 17,500 points one way, so there is some significant savings to be had here. Delta like to have their cake and eat it too, in that they don’t publish an award chart but also have these flash sales. Doesn’t make a lot of sense, but I do post these deals as they are still cheaper than the lowest fare you can usually find. Let me know if you end up booking anything in the comments.
Why tell us what offers came and went already? I got a bit excited on the Delta deals since I want to go there soon and here I rad almost immediately that I am wasting time sine it’s all GONE!!
Please try to avoid outdated material for your faithful readers. I normally consider your data as excellent but to see this particular ‘gone deal’ is heart-breaking to say the least, for me, since now I feel robbed. Got to pay 35,000 points vs. 22,000! Makes one want to scream at the least!
CLT and RDU to CUN are showing at 22,000 plus around $81 in fees round trip. Most flights are 2 stops and exceed 12 hours in travel time though. Wish this sale went out a bit farther as I wanted to go in April, but a decent deal.
