- Delta has another flash sale with flights to Mexico and some Carribean islands on sale starting from 12,000 miles round trip. You can also get comfort plus for 18,000 and first class for 32,000 (although it’s almost impossible to find first class pricing at 32,000, lots more seats are available at 50,000 miles)
Our Verdict
Seems like every second day Delta is offering discounted flights to the Carribean/Mexico in the off season. They previously had flights starting from 10,000 miles, it is interesting to see them offer comfort plus and first class flights heavily discounted as well.

Bermuda isn’t in Mexico nor the Caribbean (it’s in the North Atlantic at roughly the latitude of North Carolina) but it’s a great vacation destination and is featured, too!
Just tried a simple search from ATL to NAS. 20k main cabin RT flights found in Sep/Oct. However, the taxes and fees are around $100! I understand high fees for longer, trans-continental flights, but a short hop to the Caribbean? Have to pass.
From my experience intl flights will always hav those fees, regardless if u fly ftom Atl or up North. Nothing you can really do about it
That certainly isn’t true. I have gotten $5.60 fees on Delta flights to Europe from the US.
Leaving the U.S. is always $5.60 if there are no bogus surcharges. Coming back is completely dependent on which country you are leaving.
Well, that’s one common attitude. I prefer protesting and saying something. Jamaica has long been “leading” the pack in jacking up the nasty fees to the region….. (fees which often aren’t for airport expenses — but for general tax revenue raising…. ) With deferential attitudes like your own, plus silent/complicit travel bloggers like LL (not to mention the usual travel industry suspects), they’ll keep it up…. One hush-hush thing you can do…. is book via CUR…. especially when the taxes are 80% and more of the fare.
